This is the date that 100 years ago the
extension of Hastings Tramways into
Bexhill and Cooden opened. We
celebrated this by having a bus run
from the Bexhill Yacht Club to the Cooden
Beach Hotel. At the front of the
procession was a 1/2 scale tram built by
club member Nigel Chapman. At the
Cooden Beach Hotel the Mayor of
Bexhill unveiled a commemorative
painting by Mike Turner and a plaque.
Below is an approximate time guide of
the day's events

From 11am The vehicles gathered at the Bexhill Yacht Club in Bexhill

12noon The bus run started at Bexhill Yacht Club in Bexhill. From here it traveled along to the Cooden Beach Hotel in Cooden.
12.30pm  The buses arrived at the Cooden Beach Hotel.
1.00pm  The Mayor of Bexhill unveiled a commemorative painting by Mike Turner and a plaque in the Cooden Beach Hotel.
